The Flare 106 (wood) used windsurfing board in Good condition is for Freestyle or Wave used.
Following the success of the 2008 Flares, the 2009 boards have been designed to give you even better acceleration and speed. The major change this year is the new Dual Flat Concept (DFC) rockerline, primarily inspired by the results from R&D on the iSonics. The DFC rockerline has a short, flat tail section from 0cm-30cm and a secondary flat that extends from 30cm to 95cm. It is this extended flat which provides an extremely fast ride with a new level of acceleration and early planing.
Other tweaks for 2009...
The width of the Flare 98 has dropped by 2.5cm and is shorter by 2cm to regain more top-end speed and maneuvering accuracy in high to medium winds. The boards have been thinned out to lower the centre of gravity for more control as you may have noticed with all the board ranges this year. With the only real change on the 106 being the angle of the front footstrap, increasing from 45 degrees to 55 degrees.
Wood - with the construction of these boards there is a full 0.6mm wood skin on the deck and bottom for maximum rigidity, strength and dynamic shape integrity ensuring reliable, lightweight and durable boards..
