The Fanatic Hawk Limited Edition new windsurfing board is for freeride use.

This pedigree predator’s redefined the Freeride category and wowed testers worldwide. Derived from our best Freestyle and Slalom shapes, a unique blend of jibing heaven, top end speed and sporting style are yours. Fast rocker lines on compact shapes and thinner, tucked under edges mean you’ll never catch rails in any carving or sliding moves. Super comfy deck doming in the tail and strap areas guarantee you’re always in control in flat water, swell or chop.

Select 100, 110, 120 or 135 sizes (all Power Box) in either Wood Sandwich Light with visible wood finish, or eco friendly LTD construction with Carbon Kevlar Basalt Sandwich Light and G10 foils.

Fanatic’s CAD Master Shaper Sebastian Wenzel says, “My CAD system analysis has mixed the best aspects from our freestyle and slalom shapes! With deck doming and thin rails we’ve given you control, but you’ll need it as these shapes are the fastest out of the blocks, around the corners and along the straights in top gear!”

Biax and Carbon Kevlar/Basalt Sandwich Light Technology
Top quality and high tech specification Biax Carbon has a perfect weight to stiffness ratio as a result of it´s very fine weave, plus it has fantastic dynamic flex. In combination with PVC Sandwich Technology and Glass reinforcements, it provides a perfect stiffness to flex to weight ratio on the Falcon Slalom line. We used the same basic construction for our Freeride Limited Edition boards, except that on the deck we have a full Carbon Kevlar layup which has a better shock absorbing character than pure carbon. We did this for more comfort, whilst offering a very stiff and light performance, which is needed for these high performance Freeride and FreeRace boards (Shark LTD, Hawk LTD and Ray LTD). On the bases of the LTD boards we have the new innovative Basalt cloth, a cloth which is not only technically superior to many other standard cloths, but is also environmently friendlier in both it's creation and recycling. All of these models are produced with the light finish sanded look for extra weight saving, whilst the new polished and airbrushed rails and bases are the ultimate optic for 2012!

On every 2012 board is a small “Fanatic Ocean Minded” logo this is to signify Fanatic’s commitment to protecting the environment and researching more environment friendly materials, in all our products. Every detail of our constructions, packaging, printing and accessories is constantly analysed to try and improve our “footprint” on the environment, not an easy task as composite materials are not the most eco friendly. However plenty of resins, sandwich foams, eva pads and laminates are already being developed with a more green approach in mind, Fanatic is a leader in testing and further developing these and other materials.
