The Fanatic NewWave Team Edition (TE) new windsurfing board is for wave use.

A modern compact outline with the classic directional feeling. Our proven double concave, with full soft rails forward, and tucked rails on a fast, thin tail give the greatest single fin sensations with unbelievable grip for tighter turns. From the latest slashing style to drawn out flowing lines, the NewWaves CAD formed volume distribution works in the wildest range of conditions, and is arguably our greatest jumping shape of all time. All four sizes (69, 76, 83 and 91) sport iconic polished rails with airbrushed metallic and visible carbon artwork, and are delivered in mega stiff and light Carbon Kevlar deck and Carbon bottom Team Edition (TE) construction only.

Klaas Voget (G-4) Fanatic R&D Manager and 7th overall PWA Wave Tour 2010 says, “The latest board outlines have given single fins a new lease of life. Being wider front of center and shorter than traditional pintail shapes, they give the option of riding in a tighter aggressive way, or in the typical drawn-out high-speed style. The PWA tour has a massive range of wind and wave setups so all of our wave boards have to perform in every single location. I wouldn’t go anywhere without a single fin to turn to for either massive jumps or epic down the line rides.”

Carbon Kevlar Light Technology
The lightest and most impact resistant Carbon Kevlar, combined with a double PVC and Wood Sandwich and Wood/Carbon Heel Reinforcements guarantees the most efficient construction in terms of light weight with maximum impact resistance. The Team Editions of NewWave, NewWave Twin, Quad and FreeWave benefit from a double sandwich deck with Carbon Kevlar layups, plus Carbon bottom layups. The Skate Team Edition has a single sandwich deck of Carbon Kevlar and a Carbon bottom. New for 2012 is the use of special wood and pvc stringers, for extra stiffness and reinforcement in the bases, according to range of use each is slightly different. All of these models are produced with the Light Finish sanded look, for extra weight savings, whilst the new polished and airbrushed rails and bases are the ultimate optic for 2012!

On every 2012 board is a small “Fanatic Ocean Minded” logo this is to signify Fanatic’s commitment to protecting the environment and researching more environment friendly materials, in all our products. Every detail of our constructions, packaging, printing and accessories is constantly analysed to try and improve our “footprint” on the environment, not an easy task as composite materials are not the most eco friendly. However plenty of resins, sandwich foams, eva pads and laminates are already being developed with a more green approach in mind, Fanatic is a leader in testing and further developing these and other materials.
