"Let it blow"
Four days out of eight on the water and nothing bigger than a 5.2 m!!!! Wednesday and a day out to Rhosneigr,Spent all day hanging on to a 4.2 with some nice waves coming in.
The forecast for Llwyngwryl was looking sweet for friday, 30knots southwesterly and a nice swell!! This place doesnt work that often so my floor tiling job was put on hold and tools were swapped for boards and sails and a sleeping bag (saturdays forecast was also looking good). It was howling when i got to the beach and Lucas (funsport) had already rigged a 4.2 and was on his way out. It was high tide and a struggle to get out due to the wind shaddow but once out i was well powered up on the Blade. The waves were big and clean and perfect for going frontside,The RRD Boys turned up midday to join in the fun, Had a wicked day and was rounded off by watching England wup Wales with an beer in the Dovey arms.
Got my head down at uncle Bobs house looking forward to round 2! Woke up 7am by phil's (S.A.) phone call telling me he as on his way. Bacon butty, cuppa and a call to Al's (Boardwise) house got us to the Beach at Just after high tide, Phil was first out on a 4.7 and had no probs getting out the back, Al wasnt far behind him while i had a nightmare 5mins in the shorebreak getting a hammering!!! Al was milking the waves making it look easy, Phil was sailing the best ive seen him getting some sweet Down the line rides. There were some huge sets comming in, Pick your wave, 4 or 5 turns, jibe off the wave, back out, throw in an Arial, find a wave to jibe on and back in to do the same again, Epic!!!!! Been trying for years to hook up with Al for a sail and what a day we had it was Awesome!!We sailed till we couldnt hold on anymore making the most of it,The only casualty of the day was my 82 quad!!!!!!
Got a sneaky one in on wednesday at Rhosneigr, 5.2 Blade and borrowed an 84 twin (thanks Ian).

Rhos report
Friday kicked off with a 5.3 blade and 82 quad, 4 to 5ft waves and even a bit of sun, wind dropt off about 1pm so the 100L board came out of the van but before too long the wind was back and stayed till dark
Saturday was a different story with howling winds and huge swell. 30kts+ ssw winds meant everyone rigged their smallest kit, for me that was a 3.7 blade and 74 twin. With the pros out in South Africa (proffit,Horrocks etc) it gave a chance for the local hotshots to shine, First out was Russ Tetlow pulling a nice forward on his first run out. I had a great sesh pulling off a couple of great dry pushies, I always seem to pull them off cleaner when its super windy. Stand out sailer of the day was Steve roundwood out all day in the big stuff ripping it up, huge airs, frontside riding and some big backie attempts... So next time you get the windy Weekend Warning grab a 3.7 and get yourself to Rhosneigr!!!!

As we're on London Boat Show | Boardwise Windsurfing Blog, Challenging weather conditions may prevent clear visual on sea so marine equipment are significantly helpful in providing visual information, weather conditions and necessary communications to make sea travel more manageable. With the right information and tools to handle challenges at sea, the captain and crew are more in control in these situations.
