2010 Starboard Futura (tuff)

The 2010 Starboard Futura (Tuff) windsurfing board with the option to include a board bag at a discounted price of just £30 is for freeride use.

Since their introduction and replacement of Starboard's hugely successful Carve range of boards the Futura has brought better performance with each development. This year is no different, fudging the line between slalom and freeride the Futura offers a huge wind range and the highest top end performance in it's class. This is achieved by it's significant efficiency improvements which allow the board to deliver peak performance whether sailing underpowered or fully overpowered on the limit. It is fair to say that this year's shape is likely to give any current slalom board a run for it's money.

So what's new for 2010?

The two main areas are as follows:

1) There are new tail cutaway shapes to reduce the wetted area without losing width under your back foot, this gives the rider more control over the board at speed and ensuring maximum stability and use of power.

2) New wingers which maintain the width of the board between your feet but reduce the area of the tail, providing a more efficient planing area for quicker acceleration and a higher top end speed.
