The COSMIC (4) SLS is Duotone's SLS-tier wave board for advanced to expert riders in powerful ground-swell conditions. It is not designed for onshore waves; its focus is side/side-off and offshore ground swell at high-performance wave spots (Maui, Cape Town, Brittany, Cabo Verde, Ireland, Chile, Mauritius).
Construction: FULL CUSTOM SLS with S_GLASS+ reinforcement. The SLS build uses a lower carbon content than D/LAB; Innegra is replaced by S_GLASS+. The FULL CUSTOM production process delivers consistent weight and flex across every board leaving the factory.
Shape system: Built on the SYNCED CURVES CONCEPT, developed using the proprietary AI_BOARD_3D software. Rocker line, outline and rail curvature are synchronized throughout the board length so the three shape elements amplify rather than cancel each other.
3-STAGE ROCKER: flat mid-section in-between the straps for a stable stance; nose rocker activates right in front of the front straps for front-foot-initiated bottom turns; kickstarter tail-kick (progressive from the last 4–5cm) enables tight, snappy top turns. The COSMIC (4) SLS update adds a touch more nose rocker for improved white-water crossing.
Outline: narrower nose and tail than the GRIP model. Narrower nose delivers more control at speed in ground swell. Narrower tail improves control in higher waves.
Bottom shape: V double concave in the front transitions to a flat double concave underfoot, then mono concave toward the tail for high-speed rail-to-rail stability.
